Lent is really about love - we remember that Jesus loves us so much that he came to forgive our sins and show us how to love. We journey from the victory of last year's Palm Sunday to the regret of ashes from the burnt palms.

Through the season we look at our brokenness while also add the space in our lives for the love of God to be our light and guide. We fast to make space in our lives for God's love, we give of our time and talents to show our love for others, and we pray more deeply because we want to spend more time with God, the love and centre of our lives.

Jesus went among the villages teaching. He called the twelve and began to send them out two by two ...

Creator God, you have made each of us in your image. You look on us with love: we turn to you with hope and joy. May we grow closer together this year, with you and each other. May all in our school work as partners this year: to share, to grow, to make a difference as people can when we walk 'two by two'. Amen.
