Why GPBS?

GPBS is more than a website or media hub. GPBS is your go-to space for connecting students and staff in Catholic schools through relevant faith experiences and engaging liturgy that intersects with our day-to-day human encounters.

At its core, GPBS is all about accompanying Catholic schools as they cultivate rich experiences of faith that speak to the contemporary world. With an annual online subscription package, you can access daily, weekly, seasonal and annual prayer and liturgical resources and multimedia.

Additionally, the GPBS Mission & Ministry Team can work directly with your school community to facilitate student and staff retreats, workshops, leadership formation and professional learning opportunities that foster the ability in your team to do the same.

Scripture of the Week

The people gave Jesus a wonderful welcome, some throwing their coats on the street, others spreading out palm branches they had cut in the fields. Running ahead and following after, they were calling out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God's name! Blessed the coming kingdom of our Father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven!"

Prayer of the Week

As the crowds gathered to welcome the coming kingdom of freedom, peace and justice, so we lay down ‘our cloaks’ under his feet as signs of our commitment to the donkey-riding king. His vision is our vision. His kingdom is our kingdom. His call is our call. His journey is our journey. His life is our life. Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Amen.

Frankly Speaking

Holy Week means entering ever more deeply into God's logic, into the logic of the Cross, which is not primarily that of suffering and death, but rather that of love and of the gift of self that brings life.
